After having managed dozens of IT environments of 10 - 100 users, we noticed something: when companies reach a certain size, they hire (or appoint) a lone person to manage IT. That person, wrapped up in the day-to-day of single handedly managing a company of 50 - 200 users, ends up isolated from new technologies, best practices, and other IT professionals.
